Baptism

You are preparing for a baptism.  It might be your own or it might be your child’s.  Either way, I invite you to read through this brochure with an expectation that this event is the most significant thing for which you could ever plan. For it truly is! Baptism is one of two things that Jesus instructed the early Church to do without providing a lot of clear theological instructions (the other is the meal of Holy Communion). What we know about baptism is that Jesus commands that we do it (“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” Matthew 28:19) and that it is an important part of one’s salvation (“The one who believes and is baptized will be saved…” Mark 16:16). That obviously leaves a lot of questions regarding what happens in baptism and how it is to be done.

Confirmation

The Confirmation Program is for students entering the 7th grade.  Confirmation is the next step for students as they discern what it means to live a life of faith.  The program is 3 years long where students will engage in what it means to be a follower of Christ.

The first two years of Confirmation are classroom based.  Students will study scripture and learn Lutheran Theology.  The third year of Confirmation attempts to answer the questions: "Now what?" and "How does faith fit into my everyday life?"

Wedding

At Christ Lutheran Church we attempt to put things into perspective by introducing The Ministry of Marriage. We are interested in being a Ministry to and for you as you make plans for the day-to-come. We hope to be able to reduce the worries by helping attend to the details so that you may look back at these days many years from now with joy-filled thoughts. We want to help you celebrate your marriage.
